Third Issue Announcement!

Hello everyone!
We are here with the third issue of our journal!

The main theme of our third issue is “Language and Culture.

In this issue, we will explore the interwined relationship between language and culture. We aim to examine how a language reflects its culture, how cultural elements shape our ways of communication, and why cultural awareness is indispensable in foreign language learning. Language and culture are two fundamental concepts that cannot be considered separately. Therefore, we expect you to write essays that discuss, analyze, or exemplify different dimensions of this interaction. You may approach the topic from both theoretical and practical perspectives; for instance, you can investigate the impact of culture on language learning, communication, identity formation, or multilingualism.
You may choose any topic under this theme that interests you and develop it from your own perspective.

For inspiration, you can take a look at the following titles:
• The Role of Culture in Second Language Acquisition
• Language as a Reflection of Cultural Identity
• The Impact of Globalization on Local Languages and Cultures
• How Idioms and Proverbs Reveal Cultural Values
• Digital Culture and Its Effects on Language Use Among Young Adults

Within the theme of this issue, we would also like to include your Erasmus experiences. You may share your writings in which you reflect on your Erasmus adventures by discussing the interaction between culture and language. The texts should be at least 500 words.

Important Note: You are not required to write specifically on this issue’s theme! While selected articles on this topic will be featured in the issue, we also welcome other essays related to language, education, and language teaching.
If you would like to submit a research paper, translation, education-oriented book or movie review, or any other relevant academic work, these will be published separately in the Essays section of our website.

The submission deadline is December 19. You can find the submission guidelines and further details in the Rules section of our site.
Please send your articles to langmark.journal@gmail.com

We look forward to your contributions!
