Language Meets Culture: Discover LangMark’s Third Issue!

We are thrilled to present the third issue of LangMark, and with it, a theme that lies at the very heart of language teaching and learning: the intricate and inseparable relationship between language and culture.

Following our journey through language acquisition in Issue #1 and our exploration of literature in Issue #2, we now turn our focus to how language both shapes and is shaped by the cultures it belongs to. This issue invites you to look beyond vocabulary and grammar, and to consider language as a living reflection of identity, tradition, and worldview.

In these pages, you will find a rich blend of perspectives. From an educational review of About Dry Grasses, to a deeply personal Erasmus experience in France that captures the realities of navigating language and culture abroad. Our artwork review further expands this perspective, reminding us that meaning is not only spoken or written, but also seen and interpreted.

A special highlight of this issue is our exclusive interview with Lecturer Abdullah Ertit. Through both personal insights and professional reflections, he offers a compelling perspective on how culture influences language education and why this connection matters more than ever in today’s globalized world.

As LangMark continues to grow, we remain committed to creating a space where ideas intersect and new perspectives emerge. With this third issue, we hope to encourage future educators to embrace cultural awareness as an essential part of language teaching, inspire meaningful discussions, and deepen our collective understanding of what it truly means to learn and teach a language.

We’re excited for what lies ahead.
